Holywell Graded Open Meet 12th January 2008
This was a great introduction to competition for younger swimmers – and what fantastic performances!
As usual Otters swimmers came away with many medals and PBs. Based on individual scores throughout the meet, Emily Ball was 2nd in 10 and under girls, Leon Parkes was equal 3rd in 10-11 boys, Kieran Evans was equal 2nd in 12-13 boys, and Darryl Kershaw was 1st in 9 and under boys.
The grading system was a little difficult for the younger swimmers to understand but that is the way they do it! I have taken delivery of speeding tickets for those who went over the maximum speed for their grade, which were very nicely done and well received by the swimmers.
